The September 2014 issue of Travel Beyond Excuse Magazine is live! It is also the final issue of Travel Beyond Excuse Magazine. Why?
I’ve been having lots of fun with the magazine, but have found that it takes too much of my time and resources away from other projects I would like to work on for my Travel Beyond Excuse readers! A magazine, I have discovered, is really a project for a team–not an individual like me. As Steve Pavlina so eloquently put it in one of this month’s articles, “To free up time and energy for future growth in new directions, you have to drop the merely satisfactory. This gives you a shot at the truly beautiful.”
While the magazine will be coming to an end, Travel Beyond Excuse will continue, with a renewed focus on travel for teachers, who have the opportunity to touch young minds in their daily work, who would benefit greatly from travel–not only to recharge themselves, but to impart their rich experiences to the minds of the next generation. I’d like to show teachers how they can travel on their modest salaries, and encourage them to use their travel experiences to enrich their classrooms back home. I would encourage teachers and anyone who struggles to travel on a smaller income (particularly those with families) to sign up for the FREE Travel Beyond Excuse Newsletter, which will come with great travel tips and exciting updates and announcements for the Travel Beyond Excuse website. Those of you who have purchased issues of TBE Magazine on your devices will still be able to access them once the magazine is discontinued, however you will not be able to download or purchase any issues which you have not already purchased and downloaded. The app will be discontinued around the middle of September, and any subscriptions will end. However, if you’d like to purchase back issues of TBE Magazine, I will be making those available in PDF format here on the website soon! (UPDATE: This issue is now available in PDF format!
